Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to my wonderful family! I love you ALL! Missed those I didn't get to see or talk to today. We had a great breakfast made by Shalee and Jill with the assistance of Shiloh and Kami. Shenla and Donny probably helped too, but I wouldn't know, because Ashton and I were just relaxing since we've been up since 5:30 this morning for the Call family get together. (Yes, they REALLY do start up that early every Christmas!) But it was a wonderful breakfast. We also got some pics, I will post them here later. It was a fun little Christmas. Sheldon and Angie stopped by, then Amber and Sheridan. It was so nice to visit with everyone. I miss Dad on Holidays, but we sure have a great mom.

My thinker is going to bed, so I can't think of much to post about. I will however leave you all with a funny Christmas story for those that didn't get to hear it.

Ashton and I agreed not to get anything for each other for Christmas this year since money was short, so we just got ourselves and Aspen a family gift. Then, left under the tree was a gift from Aspen to me...and I got a grump on my face and turned to Ashton and said with a sneer...well...it's too bad Aspen didn't get DADDY anything, since we PROMISED not to! (With a GRRRR in my voice) and Ashton says..."We'll she MIGHT have gotten her dad something...and it MIGHT be in the furnace room closet..." so I jumped up and ran into the furnace room, and sitting in there was a rifle case (abt $17 value) with a bow sitting on top of it and a note that said "To Daddy, Love Aspen"

I laughed so hard. Looks like he covered his bases...It was a great Christmas joke.

Thanksgiving

Hello Everyone,

We sure enjoyed seeing all for Thanksgiving. A big thanks to Sharik and Cheryl for hosting the event.

I have been pondering the events of the last year or so and counting my blessings. I am grateful Jack is still with us and though Dad is gone, I am grateful his influence lives on as he comes to mind often and we think on his counsel and share stories with our children. I am grateful to be tied to each of you through him. Thank you for sharing your lives with me and my family.

We wish you all the most wonderful of holidays and to all of you whose birthdays we miss, Happy Birthday! Know we think of you often, nonetheless.

Thanksgiving

Ashton and I are planning on coming for the morning shooting and lunch. (Ashton says he needs to buy a shotgun though in order to "Keep up with my brothers and spend time with them" ha ha ha) We are going to his family get together at 1, but will spend the morning half of the day with the Pecks! YAY!

is anyone planning on stuffing? If not, we can bring that. Otherwise, we could bring sweet potatoes with marshmellows on top.

Thanksgiving 2008 at Sharik and Cheryl's

Theme is the bountiful harvest. Try your best to bring something you grew, dug, picked, preserved, watered, or just fixed at home (Trying hard to limit what has to be purchased at the store),

• Jack is cooking Dutch Oven Turkey! (Any of you remembering how good that is will not want to miss out!!)
• ShaMayne is cooking mince-meat pie and bringing a variety of delicious things made from their garden (perhaps some of the great cider!)
• Sharik is cooking potatoes
• Cheryl is making Pumpkin Pie!!

Hello everyone! We are just busy with school and Aspen. Ashton is going into Engineering and I am going into Graphic arts and photography. Aspen is two and a half and BUSY BUSY. Grandma takes care of her two days a week while I am at school. It's good for them to have time together, Aspen gets bored with just Ashton and I. I am just getting over having pneumonia for the last month, and Aspen had it the month before. Tis the season!!

I hear that Sharik is doing Thanksgiving at his house this year?? Maybe you can post the "plans" here Sharik!
